A DITTY A DAY / Song the Sixth

I work with kids, my first job was with kids, my mom is a children’s minister….
it is something that I come by naturally.
However, in all my time spent with the young’uns,
I haven’t ever really spent time with any children who have special needs.
This year has provided me with some new experiences,
and I find myself drawn especially to children who have down syndrome.

Also within this past year,
my mother told me that I have extra chromosomes,
that I could have been down syndrome,
and the doctors advised an abortion.

Today’s ditty is for my new little friend Rosemary,
who also has very similar surgery and drainage hole scars,
and we were comparing them today, so now we’re bffs.

The sound quality is just awful and I apologize.
I’m trying out things other than Photo Booth.
This one was with YouTube.

ROSEMARY
Lyrics:

I know a girl named Rosemary
she serves me tea imaginary
we dance in the middle of the room
one day she’ll dance to the moon

she is so fearless
so mischievous
with just an extra chromosome
she is so beautiful
and so youthful
I love to hold her in my arms

I know a girl named Rosemary
she serves me tea imaginary
we dance in the middle of the room
one day she’ll dance to the moon

she is so fearless
so mischievous
we both have extra chromosomes
she is so beautiful
and so youthful
I love to hold her in my arms

I know a girl named Rosemary
she serves me tea imaginary
we dance in the middle of the room
one day she’ll dance to the moon
